<p>PURPOSE:To make the symmetric property of the waveform of a picture element signal better and to improve image quality by impressing a data signal having opposite polarity on an (n)th drain electrode and an (n+1)th drain electrode. CONSTITUTION:By facing one part of a picture element electrode 2 which receives the data signal from the (n)th drain line 4 to the (n+1)th drain line 4 by interposing a dielectric body, storing capacitance (n+1) is held. By impressing the data signal having the opposite polarity on the (n)th drain line 4 and the (n+1)th drain line 4, the voltage of a picture element is lowered to a negative side when it is positive and it is lowered to a positive side when it is negative. Then, the symmetric property of the waveform of the picture element signal is improved. Besides, by facing the other one part of the electrode 2 which receives the data signal from the (n)th drain line 4 to the (n)th of drain line 4 by interposing the dielectric body, the storing capacitance Cn is held and a voltage holding characteristic is more improved.</p> |
