<p>PURPOSE:To permit an easy indication of the need to clean a dust particle charging device by providing a dust particle charging device consisting of linear ionization electrodes and ionization electrode plates, a dust collecting electrode unit, a fan, a DC electric source and an ionization current indicator. CONSTITUTION:The subject air cleaner consists of a dust particle charging device 1, linear ionization electrodes 2, ionization electrode plates 3, a dust collecting electrode unit 4, dust collecting electrodes 5, a fan 6 a DC electric source 7 and an ionization current indicator 8. In the aforesaid structure, the DC electric source 7 applies DC high voltage between the linear ionization electrodes 2 and the ionization electrode plates 3 and the ionization current is indicated always on the ionization current indicator 8 in series connection with the DC electric source 7 to detect a lowering in the ionization current, i.e., the ionization function, whereby it is easily judged whether or not the dust particle charging device 1 is required to be cleaned.</p> |
