<p>A safety cover for sheilding the pins of electrical connectors comprises a movable cover 2 on a female connector such as an adaptor or wall socket, which has slots 13 therein for reception of pins of a male connector such as a plug, the slots have parts 15 which enable the pins 12 to enter or be withdrawn through the cover, and parts of reduced width which engage notches 16 in the pins when the cover is moved to a latching position. The cover carries a magnetic device 4 to operate a switch 7 when the cover is in the latching position. The cover may be lockable into the latching position. For an adaptor, the cover may be a sleeve 2, whilst for a wall socket it may be a flanged plate. <IMAGE></p> |
