PURPOSE:To obtain a material having remarkably high relative dielectric constant and a high piezoelectric constant by a method wherein, in a four- component system material of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Ni1/2W1/2)O3-PbTiO3-PbZrO3, a part of Pb is replaced with Ce or Sm. CONSTITUTION:A porcelain component is used whose the compositional formula is aPb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-bPb(Ni1/2W1/2)O3-cPbTiO3-dPbZrO3, where 10<a+b<=55, 0.5<=b<=10, 30<=c<=50, 2.5<=d<=60 (a, b, c, d are molal percentages, and a+b+c+d= 100). 0.5 to 10 atomic % of Pb is replaced with at least 1 kind of Ce or Sm, so that a piezoelectric material can be obtained whose relative dielectric constant, both of an electromechanical coupling factor in a radial direction and a piezoelectric constant are high and a great piezoelectric distortion can be obtained. |
