PURPOSE:To provide a gas sensor hard to receive the effect of an air stream and having rapid response by receiving a heating part and a gas sensing part in a cylindrical body through a heat insulating filler. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulating filler 6 is contained in a cylindrical body 10 and a bottom body 5 is provided to one end part thereof and a protective body 11 preventing the scattering of the heat insulating filler 6 is fixed to the other end part thereof. The protective body 11 is composed of a net and preliminarily fixed to the cylindrical body. The bottom body 5 has lead wires 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b and the lead wires 3a, 3b are electrically connected to a pair of the electrodes of a gas sensing part 1 and the lead wires 4a, 4b are electrically connected to a heating part 2a. Since an air stream is cut off by the cylindrical body 10 and air can freely go in and out through the protective body 11 at the opening part, response is rapid and the frequent change of characteristics due to an air stream is reduced. |
