PURPOSE:To rapidly and simply quantify the concns. of a plurality of substrates by one set of an electrode system by providing a plurality of layers composed of porous bodies having two or more kinds of biologically related substances supported thereon by kinds so as to mutually separate the same using a substrate or reaction product permeable diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:When a sample solution containing glucose and lactic acid is dripped on a sensor, glucose in the sample solution is decomposed by glucose oxidase supported on a layer 8 to form gluconolactone and hydrogen peroxide and hydrogen peroxide is diffused to reach an electrode part. Lactic acid in the sample solution passes through the film of a microcapsule 9 along with glucose to penetrate in the microcapsule and is decomposed by lactic acid oxidaze encapsulated and fixed in the microcapsule to form pyruvic acid and hydrogen peroxide and hydrogen peroxide passes through the film of the microcapsule to be diffused to the electrode part. A voltage pulse is successively applied to the electrode part corresponding to the times of respective reaction products reaching the electrode part and the currents corresponding to the concn. of one substrate and the concns. of a plurality of substrates are detected. |
