PURPOSE:To prevent disagreeable odors from leakage or shift by providing a drum for receiving and rolling clothing, a circulating air path for returning exhaust from the drum to the drum, a heat exchanger provided in the circulating air path, a blower, a heater and oxidizing catalyzer provided in intimate contact with the surface of the heater on the lee side of the heater and having permeability. CONSTITUTION:A drum 1 starts the rolling motion by closing a switch and at the same time a blower 4, heater 5 and heat exchanger 3 start their operations. Thus, hot air heated by the heater 5 blows in the drum 1. Water content of clothing received in the drum 1 is evaporated, and circulating air with high temperature and high humidity is subjected to heat exchange with the atmosphere by the heat exchanger 3 to provide low humidity one which is sent again from the blower 4 to the heater 5 and heated to high temperature by the heater 5 to enter the drum 1. When the clothing left washed insufficiently here is received and dried as clothing to be dried in the drum 1, disagreeably odorous substances are volatilized from the clothing along with the progress of drying. Oxidizing catalyzer 6 provided on the surface of the heater 5 at the lee side thereof is supplied with reactive exciting energy from the heater 5 to utilize oxygen in air for the oxidation-decomposition of the disagreeably odorous substances. |
