PURPOSE: To improve efficiency at a high voltage and to improve a safe operation by including a charge circuit for charging an energy storage element and a switch element for switching into an electrical contact with a load and using an interruptible switch as the switch element. CONSTITUTION: Capacitors are connected by interruptible switches SW1-SW5. For example, the interruptible switches SW1-SW5 are given by a cold cathode tube grid control cross field plasma switch. An inductive system 40 has an inductor L, having coils L1-L5 for limiting an E beam load RL. The positioning is effective for promoting the distribution of a voltage along the length of an E-beam acceleration device. The first tap from each coil is connected to a plurality of related cathode terminal of the cold cathode tube grid control cross field plasma switches SW1-SW5. The anode of the switches SW1-SW5 is connected to the cold cathode of related power supplies V1-V5. |
