PURPOSE: To obtain a safe herbicide composition for paddy fields, comprising pyrazosulfuron-ethyl and bentazon or its salt, capable of perfectly controlling annual weeds and perennial weeds, having high safety for paddy rice, and extremely low in toxicity against man and livestock. CONSTITUTION: This herbicide composition for paddy fields contains ethyl 5-[3-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)ureidosulfonyl]-1-methylpyrazole-4-c arboxylate (pyrazosulfuron-ethyl) of formula I and 3-isopropyl-2,1,3-benzothiadiazinone-(4)-2,2- dioxide or its salt (e.g. the Na salt of bentazon) in a former component/latter component weight ratio of 1/200 to 1/300. The composition advantageously exhibits stable effects against all kinds of weeds and does not damage crops. |
