PURPOSE: To enhance the accuracy of automatic test by making a decision whether the intensity of a pixel in a window comes within a predetermined threshold or not and then displaying the coordinates of the center. CONSTITUTION: The solder joint locator system 82 comprises a sensor having a CCD array 84 for detecting the intensity of individual image in an image, e.g. an X-ray image 86 of a PC board. Information from the array 84 is delivered on a bus 88 to a microcontroller 90. The microcontroller 90 receives an image data from the array 84 and the information is stored and processed before a suitable threshold value is set. The microcontroller 90 is connected with a post-processing system 94 using coordinate of the center of solder joint being found by the microcontroller 90 through a bus 92 and additional tests are performed the image 86 of a PC board. Direct test for an actual PC board can be performed at that time. |
