PURPOSE:To enable cooling performance to be improved by forming a main body and a fixed part which consist of an electromagnetic shield material with a high conductivity in one piece and then leading heat from an OEIC to an outside with a low heat conduction resistance through the fixed part and at the same time by shielding electromagnetic wave. CONSTITUTION:A shield case 1 is obtained by shaping a sheet-shaped electromagnetic shield material to a specified form. A compact OEIC can be housed within a hollow main body 2 and a window 4 for transmitting and receiving light is formed on a front surface. A lower fixed part 3a which is joined through a printed-circuit board is provided from a lower part of a front plate of the main body 2 and a sideward fixed part 3b which is joined to an external metal chassis is provided in parallel with the rear surface plate. Electromagnetic shield materials used for the shield case include iron, aluminum, lead, copper, brass, and silver, an alloy such as aluminum alloy and 73 brass, and a conductive resin obtained by kneading an improved heat conduction metal powder with a resin. For example, a thermal grease is applied between the OEIC and the sealed case as needed for fixing. |
