PURPOSE:To improve the waste toner charging rate, to reduce the size of a waste toner storage part, and to reduce the size of a developing unit by extending the screw in a 1st storage part for waste toner up to the entrance of a 2nd storage part. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd storage part 62 is provided in an orthogonal direction to the waste toner conveyance part 61b of the 1st storage part 61 and a main body 61a is linked through an opening part 62a. The screw 47 which conveys remaining toner is provided in the 1st storage part 61 from a waste toner entrance 63 to the opening part 62a of the 2nd storage part 62. One end of this screw 47 on the opposite side from the waste toner entrance 63 is coupled with a rotary shaft 48 supported pivotally on the wall surface of the 1st storage part 61. When the screw 47 is driven, the waste toner T which is entered from the waste toner entrance 63 is sent to the main body 61a of the 1st storage part 61 and also sent even in the 2nd storage part 62 from the opening part 62a, so that the 2nd storage part 62 is filled to nearly 100%. Consequently, the waste toner storage part 60 and the developing unit 14 are reduced in size on the whole. |
