PURPOSE:To obtain good images having high quality even at the time of both- side copying by lowering the temp. of a pressurizing roller by a cooling means when the detected temp. of this roller rises to >=110 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:The temp. of the pressurizing roller 2 is detected by a thermistor 6 at the time when a transfer material P having the transferred and unfixed toner image is fixed by a heating roller 1 and a heating roller 2. The degradation in the image quality is resulted at the time of both-side copying and, therefore, if the temp. of the pressurizing roller 2 is >=110 deg.C in one-side copying mode, the standing-by cooling fan 15 turns on to cool a cooling belt 14 without start copying. The copying process is started if the temp. of the pressurizing roller 2 in contact therewith falls <=110 deg.C. The high-quality images are obtd. in this way even at the time of both-side copying. |
