PURPOSE:To obtain an image receiving element for thermally transferable coloring matter image capable of containing a metal source in a stably dispersed condition by adding a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:A compound as expressed by the formula is added. In the formula, M<2+> is a divalent transition metal ion. X is a coordinate compound which can form a complex by coordinate linkage with the transition metal ion M<2+>; n is an integer of 2 or 3; and at least, one of Xs is a glycineamide derivative and coordinate compounds X can be the same as or different from each other. Y<-> is a counter anion of the transition metal ion M<2+>. Thus the subject image receiving element has improved fixing properties.
