PURPOSE:To easily increase the message information quantity by providing a receiving part to an electronic notebook to receive a selective call signal and adding a paging function. CONSTITUTION:When an electronic notebook is used, the data and an instruction are inputted with operation of an input part 3. At the same time, a control part 5 writes and reads the information into and out of a recording part 2 according to an instruction and also performs an arithmetic processing operation in order to display the arithmetic result at a display part 4. When the notebook is used as a selective call receiver, a receiving part 1 reports the reception of a selective call signal addressed to its own station and also transmits a message code to the part 5. The part 5 reads the message information accordant with the received message code out of the part 2 and displays it at a part 4. When the part 3 is operated under such conditions, the information on the message information is read out of the part 2 and displayed. Thus the message information quantity can be easily increased. |
