PURPOSE:To form high-density and high-contrast images without defects, such as forward drawing, brush marks, toner splashing, and carrier drawing, by using a carrier coating resin and toner resin of specific copolymer resins and incorporating carbon at specific contents therein. CONSTITUTION:The carrier coating resin and toner resin are respectively the resins selected among a group consisting of a styrene resin, acrylic resin and styrene/acrylic copolymer resin. The respective carbon contents of formulas are within the ranges satisfying the formulas I to IV when the carbon content in the carrier coating layer is designated as A (weight %) and the carbon content in the toner as B (weight %). The high-density and high-contrast toner images are formed without the defects, such as forward drawing, brush marks, toner splashing, and carrier drawing. In the formulas I to IV, A is the carbon content (weight %) in the carrier coating layer. B is the carbon content in the toner. |
