<p>PURPOSE:To effectively make use of spaces at chip corner parts by a method wherein input/output cells arranged in an array shape are arranged obliquely in empty spaces at the chip corner parts. CONSTITUTION:Fundamental input/output cells 3 provided with pads are arranged in an array shape with definite regularity, they are arranged in the periphery of an internal logic circuit 2. The fundamental input/output cells 3 provided with the pads arranged in the array shape are used as fundamental input/output cells 4 which are arranged at chip corner part, the calls 4 are arranged obliquely at the chip corner part. When the fundamental input/output cells provided with the pads are arranged obliquely at the chip corner parts, usable pads are increased. Since cells provided with pads other than the fundamental input/output cells are not used and the existing cells are used, the amount of data is not increased.</p> |
