<p>The flanks are generated on the mtal plates by two oxy-acetylene burners. The first advance burner is disposed perpendicular to the direction of cutting and is inclined at an angle which is smaller than the included an angle of the weld gap, whilst the second after-burner is directed downwards in the welding direction and at the same time outwards, so that its jet contacts, and deflects sideways, the jet produced by the first burner. Pref. the first burner has a larger cross-section than the second. The use of two burners permits easy and flexible setting up.</p> |
