PURPOSE:To provide a composite superconductive conductor able to suppress the compressive force which is a cause of Jc deterioration as much as possible by burying a compound-type superconductive wire having a rectangular cross-section in a housing having a gate-like cross-section. CONSTITUTION:A composite superconductive conductor is one prepared by burying a compound-type superconductive wire 2 in the inside of a housing having a gate-like cross-section and joining with a solder 6. The surface B of the compound-type superconductive wire 2 is so composed as to be lower than the plane A of the housing 4. Here, the height difference DELTAx between the plane B and the plane A is so designed as to keep the plane A at higher position than the plane B even if compressive force F is applied to the composite superconductive conductor and the A plane is strained. In the case that a coil 3 is formed using the composite superconductive conductor, the compressive force F from the axial direction to the direction shown as the arrows is generated and in the compound-type superconductive conductor, since the leg parts 10 of the housing 4 receives almost all of the compressive force and the compressive force F is scarcely applied to the compound-type superconductive wire 2, its Jc is prevented from being deteriorated. |
