PURPOSE:To selectively or selectively and reversibly form a desired pattern region to the surface of a recording body by an easy means and to develop the same to transfer an image to plain paper by supplying a contact material forming a latent image region showing the sweepback contact angle corresponding to heating temp. to the surface of the recording body by mutual contact to the surface of the recording body and heating the surface of the recording body to develop the latent image region. CONSTITUTION:The surface of an endless belt like recording body A having a surface whose sweepback contact angle lowers upon the contact with a liquid in a heated state is brought into contact with a solid contact material B becoming a liquid or generating a liquid or vapor at the lowering start temp. of a sweepback contact angle or lower in a selectively heated state to form a latent image rigion showing the sweepback contact angle corresponding to heating temp. and the latent image region is developed to transfer the recording agent formed on the surface of the recording body A to recording paper. When the surface of the recording body A having a latent image formed thereto is heated in the absence of the contact material B, the latent image is erased and an image can be reversibely formed. |
