PURPOSE:To obtain a three-dimensional shape having a form easily grasped manually as a drawing with a simple data and a simple processing by adding attached information to the data of a line to express the shape so as to calculate whether the data is displayed or regarded as a hidden line, and displaying it after erasing back side lines in the drawing of the three-dimensional shape. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with an input device 101, arithmetic unit 102, storage device 103 and output device 104 so that the shape of a machine can be interactively defined and displayed on a screen. In this case, information showing the normal direction of a face adjacent to the line as a display object or a face, on which the line is loaded, is added to the information of the line. According to the information and the information of a display direction, the display form of the line is decided, and it is decided whether the line is displayed or not. Thus, by judging it by using only the information of the line and the attached information whether this line is the front side line of the three-dimensional shape, contour line or back side line, the format of the data is simplified and the processing can be simplified as well. |
