The present invention relates to a machine for printing the front face of a document with variable information and the back face of this document with a non-variable endorsement, comprising: a support (12) in which the document is placed, moving in a horizontal direction; a printing head (16) located on the front face side of the document moving in a vertical direction; and an endorsement stamp (25) located on the back face side of the document. The stamp (25) is mounted on an arm (30) of a crank lever returned to a position of rest, the other arm (31) of the lever being located so that it can be actuated by a component secured to the printing head (16) when the latter is moved into one of its extreme positions so that the stamp comes into contact with the back face of the document (10). <IMAGE>
