PURPOSE:To drive with a relatively high efficiency even in any case without generating noise by dividing parts corresponding to phases of motor coils into a plurality of coil segments, and driving the segments in different types at the times of starting and steady rotation. CONSTITUTION:If a signal START is a low level, coils 5, 6, 7 are driven like that the coils constitute one coil in series. That is, for example, when a U phase is a low level and a V phase is a high level, a signal U2M becomes a high level, while when the U phase is a low level and the W phase is a high level, a signal U1M becomes a high level. Thus, a current flows from V to U and from W to U. Then, when the signal START is a high level, i.e., when it is a mode necessary for sufficient driving force, drive signals of V1M, V2M,..., W2M, etc., all become a low level. V1+, V2+ are driven in the same phase as V+, V1-, V2- are driven in the same phase as V-, W1+, W2+ are driven in the same phase as W+. That is, three sets of coils 5, 6, 7 are operated as one coil to be driven in parallel. |
