PURPOSE:To obtain an area ratio at high speed by reading the gradation value of the group of an applying triangle part based on the inclination of storage means vector data at processing an anti-alien thing and determining the gradation value of an edge part picture element with the area ratio. CONSTITUTION:When one picture element on a scanner line is defined as a closed section, a triangle part formed when vector data intersects and crosses the upper edge and the lower edge of the closed section and the triangle part formed when they intersects and crosses a left side edge and a right side edge are case-classified by the inclination of the vector data in advance. Then, a gradation value K' is set every the group of the triangle part case-classified and is stored as an LUT (recording means), the gradation value K' of the group of the applying triangle part is read based on the ionclination of the vector data at processing an anti-alien thing and a gradation value K of an edge part picture element is determined with the gradation value K'. Thus, an area ratio can be found at high speed without executing subpixel division and the counting of the number of painting-out. |
