The box includes a printed circuit (6) carrying two sets of individual connection terminals for respectively the wires of the service cable and for those of a first of two cable portions serving as a bus and a set of connection terminals with sectioning for the wires of the second cable portion serving as a bus. These terminals are selectively connected to conducting tracks of the printed circuit in such a way as to provide insertion of an appliance in series between the two portions of the cable serving as a bus. The printed circuit and the terminals are enclosed in a box, made of non-magnetic conducting material, consisting of two parts (10, 11) which can be fitted together and which, housed in the box, are electrically linked to two separate earthing devices (22, 27). <IMAGE>
