<p>PURPOSE:To precisely recognize a pattern by permitting an electric write-type space optical modulator to control the light permeability of an electrooptical substance layer by means of a picture element electrode which a driving circuit excites. CONSTITUTION:The electric write-type space light modulator consists of a driving substrate 20, a counter substrate 38 which is arranged by making it counter with the driving substrate 20, and the electro-optical substance layer, a liquid crystal layer 39, for example, which is arranged between the driving substrate 20 and the counter substrate 38. The picture element electrode 28 specifying a picture element and the driving circuit for exciting the picture element electrode 28 in accordance with a prescribed signal are formed on the driving substrate 20. Since a Fourier conversion image in which interference fringes light-received by a CCD camera are overlapped can considerably clearly displayed in the electric write-type space light modulator, the distribution of strength on a correlation peak by diffraction when read corherent light is made incident on said image becomes strong and steep. Thus, the pattern can precisely be recognized.</p> |
