PURPOSE:To prevent discontinuity in an image between adjacent images by providing two gage works on an original and dividing the original into two sections so that the two gage works can be included in both of the images, and making the two gage works coincide with the gage works corresponding to them. CONSTITUTION:Two references P and Q with the different color from the ground color of an original are provided on an original 11, the original 11 is divided into two sections so that the two gage works can be included in both of the images and the images are read by utilizing a static type scanner. The divided and read two images are synthesized into one image with the two gage works matched the two gage works corresponding to them. In short, two common gage works are supplied on both of the two divided images before synthesis by providing two gage works P and Q on the original 11 in order to give continuity to the image, and the two divided images are overlapped so that the two gage works on one of the divided images can coincide with the corresponding gage works on the other of the divided images. Thus, the divided and inputted two images can be synthesized into one image without fail. |
