PURPOSE:To obtain the title material excellent in nonburning and heat insulation properties by homogeneously dispersing metallic fibers in a specified compound and molding the resulting compound and reinforcing glass fibers. CONSTITUTION:Metallic fibers (e.g. steel fibers) are homogeneously dispersed in a compound comprising a phenolic resin (e.g. a resol phenolic resin) and an inorganic filler having water of crystallization (e.g. aluminum hydroxide), and the resulting compound and reinforcing glass fibers are molded. |
