The rotational speed sensor device for a member rotating with respect to a non-rotating member (5) comprises an encoder element (15) integral with the rotating member and a sensor element (16) integral with the non-rotating member, arranged opposite the encoder element with an air gap, the whole being capable of producing an electrical signal depending on the speed of rotation. Connection means (25) electrically connected to the sensor element (16) transmit the signal to means for analysing and processing the said signal. The sensor element (16) is mounted on an annular contact ring (17) including at least two elongate electrically conducting tracks (21, 22), which are insulated from each other, arranged on an outer surface of the said contact ring (17) and electrically connected to the sensor element (16). The connection means comprise a connector element (25) fitted with contact means (27, 28) which can enter into contact with any point on the said elongate tracks. The device can be mounted in a sealing gasket 9 for a rolling bearing of the wheel hub of a motor vehicle, the signal being used for controlling an ABS system. <IMAGE>
