PURPOSE:To generate a sweep solid intended by a user also to a curve of which the change of curvature is acute by executing the generation of the solid without the offset curve of a free curve when the solid is generated by making a sectional from on a plane along an orbit to include a free curve sweep. CONSTITUTION:When a point of inflection exists on a orbit, the orbit is transmitted to a curve dividing means 4, is divided by the point of inflection, after the segment of the orbit is increased, the orbit is transmitted to a vertex position determining means 5 and is transmitted to a graphic storage part 10 after it is redisplayed on a graphic display device 9 and original orbit data are updated. Besides, a swept position is determined based on the orbit transmitted by the vertex position determining means 5 and the sectional data read from the graphic storage part. Then, determined positional data are interpolated by a curve interpolating means 6, are displayed on the graphic display device 9 and are transmitted to a free curved surface generating means 7. Thus, even when the change of the curvature of the orbit is acute, a more precise sweep solid can be generated. |
