The invention concerns a chair which can be dismantled and re-assembled and which is designed to adapt automatically, in accordance with human-engineering principles, to the position of the body of the occupant. During a transformation (Fig. 1), two plane surfaces (1, 2) can be moved, by support elements (4u) and frame components (4o), into a convex (1k, 2k) and at the same time transversally reinforcing (Fig. 2) yet longitudinally elastic position of use in which they have unsupported and freely flexing ends (1s, 2r) and loosely abutting (4c) ends. |
