1287222 Polysiloxane carbamic acid esters FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER AG 30 Jan 1970 [1 Feb 1969] 4644/70 Heading C3T A polysiloxane carbamic acid ester contains at least one unit and further units of the same general formula and/or no more than 1000 times as many units of the general formula R<SP>1</SP> a SiO 4-a/2 , wherein R<SP>1</SP> is a C1-C10 alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radical, optionally halo- or cyano-substituted, R<SP>11</SP> is H or a methyl or phenyl radical, R<SP>111</SP> is a C1-10 alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl, dialkylaminoalkyl, aryl or alkaryl radical and Q is a C1-6 saturated aliphatic radical of valence c, m is 0, 1 or 2, n is 2, 3 or 4, a is 0, 1, 2 or 3, b is 0 or 1- 200, and c is 1 to 6. It may be prepared by hydrolysis of the corresponding alkoxy, cycloalkoxy or phenoxy silane(s) (the silane carbamates are described in Specification 1,239,676), or by reaction of the corresponding aminosiloxane and chloroformate ester with each other. In examples: (EtO) 2 SiMe . CH 2 N(C 6 H 11 ). COOEt is cohydrolysed with Me 3 SiOEt (Example 1) or Me 3 SiOEt and Me 2 Si(OEt) 2 (Example 2); butyl polyethylenepropylene glycol chloroformate (without oxypropylene units in Example 5) is condensed with polysiloxanes where Z is -CH 2 -NH-CH 2 -CH(CH 3 ) 2 (Example 3) or where 3p is 19 or 17 (Examples 4 and 5); and is condensed with octaethylene glycol bis chloroformate. The preparation of the aminosilanes and siloxanes from the corresponding bromomethylsilanes is described.
