PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce and stabilize the contact resistance of an electric double-layer capacitor to enhance its reliability and to make the capacitor smaller and thinner by providing the capacitor with lead electrode plates and a clamping section having a circular bottom and circular arc wall. CONSTITUTION:At both ends of an element laminated body 7, electrode disks 23 and 24 are laid out having electrode lead drawing sections 23a and 24a. The element laminated body 7 and electrode disks 23 and 24 caulk an end portion 15 of the clamping section that laminate insulating layers 17 and that has a bottom 8 and an arc-like wall 9 to hold a predetermined pressure that is applied to the element laminated body 7. Further, the outer circumference of the clamping body is coated with insulating resin 16 by means of molding or the like. With this, the electrodes and leads are integrated and electrode disks are in contact with all over the entire electrode surface of the element, so that the contact resistance of the capacitor can be reduced and stabilized and the capacitor can be made smaller and thinner. |
