An extruded plastic moulding (1) contains two channels (2) of circular section opening through longitudinal slots (3) to the underside (5) of the rail. T-section grooves (6) run along the lengths of the centres of the top and underside. The upper groove serves for fixing to a structure, while the lower groove accepts adaptors with sockets for insertion and retention of lamps. Wires are laid loosely in the channels (2). ADVANTAGE - Length of conductors is not limited to that of rail, which can be fixed as decorative element to either walls or ceilings.
