System consisting of a pair of pneumatic cylinders 1 actuated from the vehicle cab, which are located at the front upper vertices of the box body, the piston 3, urged by a spring 4, having a pair of longitudinal recesses in a diametral position, being equipped, in one recess, with a toothed rack 7 which meshes externally with a pinion 8 which transmits the movement to a pinion 10 via an intermediate pinion 9, in such a manner that the pinion 10 transmits the movement to a canvas-carrying rod 14 or 15 located in a radial position and to a bar 19 in a central and axial position with respect thereto and which is extended, located inside a tube 18, as far as the rear part which is secured to a canvas-carrying rod 16 or 17 in an orthogonal position, a rotation of the pinion 10 of approximately 207 degree giving rise to the displacement of the piston 3, folding down the pairs of canvas-carrying rods from the horizontal, over the box body 11, to the lower vertical over the side. <IMAGE>
