PURPOSE:To utilize a cable effectively by superimposing an information code onto a synchronizing signal of a composite video signal and transmitting the superimposed signal. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing signal 9 of a composite video signal 19 and an information code 2 are inputted to an information code transmitter in the DC coupling transmission of the composite video signal 19 comprising a video signal 1 and the synchronizing signal, and a parallel/serial code converter 3 which converts the parallel information code 2 into a serial signal and superimposes the information code 2 onto the synchronizing signal 9 while using an information code serial transmission means is provided to a sender side T. Thus, the synchronizing signal 9 and the information code 2 of the composite video signal 19 are inputted to the parallel/serial code converter 3, in which the parallel information code 2 is converted into a serial signal and the information code 2 is superimposed on the synchronizing signal 9 by the information code serial transmission means and the result is sent from the sender side T. Thus, only a composite video signal transmission cable 5 is enough for a transmission line L. |
