PURPOSE:To immediately execute recovery processing at the time of error occurrence in a hardware-only area of a main storage device by generating an I/O instruction including the control abort of all channel routes to a channel sub-system and aborting the operation of the sub-system in accordance with the generated I/O instruction. CONSTITUTION:At the time of detecting the generation of an error in the hardware-only area 11 in accordance with an instruction reception completion signal outputted from the channel sub-system 3, an I/O instruction control part 12 informs the error generation to a recovery processing part 13. At the time of receiving the information of error generation, the processing part 13 generates an I/O instruction for aborting the operation of all channel routes to the sub-system 3 in accordance with the processing of an I/O control instruction generating part 14 and controls the sub-system 3 so as to immediately abort the operation of all the channel routes of the sub-system 3 and then start the execution of recovery processing. |
