<p>Apparatus is provided for molding plastic into foamable products which includes means for alternately introducing steam (35 A/B) and fog (50 A/B) to the mold (11 A/B). Further apparatus (102, 122) is provided to insure that the steam flowing to the mold is dry, containing little or no moisture, and at the exact temperature and pressure desired. The above is of particular advantage in a high speed molding system where the steam and fog are alternately introduced directly into the mold cavity (12) itself.</p> |
