Prevention of seepage from refuse dump - by digging narrow trench around dump and filling it with sealing compound

Seepage from a refuse dump is prevented by digging a narrow trench around the dump and then filling the trench with a sealing compound to form a wall (5). The trench is fromed by driving piles (3a,3b) etc to a depth below the water level (4). After several pile piles have been driven into the soil (1) the first pile (3a) is removed and inserted at the far end of the row of piles. The mechanism can accept paper of any thickness.
