The metal cutting tool for a machine tool has a body (1) with a first integrally formed shaft (3), which carries the cutting insert (4) at its outer end, and a second integrally formed shaft (2) which fits in the socket in the spindle of the machine tool. Cutting fluid is directed on to the workpiece from an outlet (6) in the shaft (3) near the cutting insert (4). This outlet is connected by a longitudinal hole (8) in the shaft (3) to an inlet (7) in the rear face of the tool body (1).
