The travelling appliance (10) for separately, manually collecting different waste material, especially recyclable ones, has attachements for at least one sack (13) and box-shaped containers (14). The appliance (10) has two or three connected carriages (11,12) which have guides and stops so that they fit inside each other. Couplings (21) on the carriages (11,12) automatically or manually join them. The distance between adjacent castors (24) is such that the castors turn by 360 deg.. One carriage (11) takes the sacks (13), and the other carriage (12) takes the box-shaped containers (14). The bottom of the carriage (11) has a grid (20). USE/ADVANTAGE - The travelling carriage takes high volumes of rubbish, but is compact.
