SELF-OSCILLATING MICROWAVE FREQUENCY CONVERTER COMPRISING A DIELECTRIC RESONATOR

A self-oscillating microwave frequency converter is described. Said converter is an oscillator based on the use of a gallium arsenide FET (T1) comprising a dielectric resonator (DR) coupled to a transmission line (TRL) connected to the gate of the FET. Frequency conversion is obtained by using the nonlinearity of the FET fed by the intermediate frequency signal to be converted.
