Method of concasting metal comprises forcing metal from a high located storage vessel through a communicating channel into a pressure vessel fitted with a gas dome. A vertical tube passes through the dome to be immersed in the melt and the melt passes through the tube into a vertically oscillating casting mould. The casting is then bent into a horizontal plane and drawn off.
