The bolting mechanism for the cover (10) of a drain duct, or a gulley (20), consists of a slotted recess (30) with a downwards sloping surface (31) in the side (23) of the duct, or gulley, and a locking bar (40), whose end (41) fits into the recess. The bar can move so that the cover, in its intermediate position, can be locked into the sloping surface. The bar can, by its dead weight and on movement over the cover, roll into the locking position.
