PURPOSE:To enable the removal of an offensive smell in a room during a long life span of the device by providing an adsorbent on the downstream side of an air blowing means, disposing on the downstream side of this adsorbent a heat generator intermittently heating the adsorbent. and providing on the downstream side of the heat generator a catalytic material heated intermittently by the heat generator. CONSTITUTION:In a case 3 provided with an air inhalation port l and an air discharging port 2. there is disposed a fan 4 at the air inhalation port 1. An adsorbent 5 is provided on the downstream side of this fan 4, and on the downstream side of this adsorbent 5. there is disposed a heat generator 6 intermittently heating the adsorbent 5. A catalytic material 7 to be intermittently heated by the heat generator 6 is provided on the downstream side of this heat generator 6. By this simple constitution, indoor offensive smell or harmfull gas can be removed in a sufficient degree and for a long span of life of the device. |
