DEVICE FOR INTRODUCTION OF NON- METAL FRAGMENTS TO MELTS

The device is used in foundry works for the production of composite alloys. It provides a high degree of utilization of the non-metal particles regardless of their relative weight and wetting by the melt. In addition the device works with both metal melts and charge materials. The device includes an electric furnace (1) with a double stage crucible (2) placed in it. A shutter (3) is mounted at the bottom of an electric furnace (1) on its external side. A thermo-couple (4) is installed radially through the wall of the electric furnace (1) within the zone of the small diameter of the double stage (2). The two stages of the pot (2) are separated by a graphite lid (5) with a central opening in which a tube (6) is inserted; there is a U -shaped mixer(7) installed to the tube (6). The upper end of the tube (6) is connected to an electric motor (10). A hollow shaft (11) with its lower end perforated is inserted in tube (6). There is a dosing device (12) mounted at the upper end of the hollow shaft (11); the device is connected to a control unit (13) and a vibrating mechanism (14).
