PURPOSE:To increase the number of scanning lines substantially and obtain sharp images by performing transmission twice at every set of plural pieces of ultrasonic vibrators, and receiving the waves received each time with the vibrators near the front and near the rear of the respective sets. CONSTITUTION:Controlling of timings wth time of the entire part is accomplished by a timing control circuit 13, and transmission is accomplished twice by 4 pieces, etc. of vibrators forming each set of an ultrasonic transducer vibrator array 1. The reception of the reflected waves by the transmission of each time is accomplished by front 3 pieces, rear side 3 pieces, etc. of the vibrator array order in the respective sets by way of a transmission timing circuit 3, a reception timing circut 4, driving circuits 5-8, etc. These received signals are applied to an XY monitor 17 by way of a preamplifier 3, a wide-band amplifier 9, a logarithmic amplifier 10, a full-wave rectifier 11, a gate adder 12, etc. Hence, intermediate scanning lines are formed in the scanning lines of a monitor 17, whereby the number of the scanning lines is substantially increased and sharp images are displayed. It is also possible to deviate the maximum reception point position by adding weights to the vibrator received signals. |
