<p>The invention relates to a process for manufacturing insulating elements. It relates to a process in which rigid semi-cylindrical linings, for example of sheet metal, are placed against the outside walls (3a, 3b) of a mould of circular shape, and a foam of plastic material is injected between this lining, supported by the wall of the mould, and an internal partition (5m, 5f) defining an interlocking joint. After demoulding, the foam is solidly attached to the lining, and the two parts can be interlocked with one another. Application to the insulation of apparatus and items of pipework or fittings for refrigeration or heating installations. <IMAGE></p> |
