摘要 PURPOSE:To smoothly steer rear wheels at same phase steering in the device in which rear wheels are steered with a cam body rotationally driven with an electric motor by specifying the shape of cam body so as to largely insure forming territory of cam face for same phase steering without enlarging the cam body. CONSTITUTION:A rear wheel steering mechanism 2 is provided with a cam mechanism 7 driven with an electric motor 6, and when rotation of the motor 6 is transmitted to a cam body 8 through a reduction gear 11, a cam follower 9 is moved, to steer rear wheels 10 through a slide bar 13 and a tie rod 14. The motor 6 is controlled with a control device 20 based on control information from a vehicle speed sensor 21, a steering angle sensor 22, and the like. In this case, the cam body 8 is formed so that the rate of angle range of cam face forming territory against the maximum rotation angle is larger than the rate of steering angle range of same phase steering territory against the maximum steering angle. Further, the rotating speed of the motor 6 in the same phase steering territory is set so as be larger than the rotating speed of the motor 6 in the reverse phase steering territory.
