<p>The metal covette dips at least partially into a tank in which a constant height level of flowing coolant is maintained. The furnace consists of a cuvette and a hood with a flue gas and charging shaft the coolant tank being supported by height adjustable pillars. The skin formed by the molten glass charge on the cooled metal walls of the cuvette protects these walls, extending their services life.</p> |
